Question
Answer
Do you travel?
100% yes!! I am based out of Denver but I have traveled to over 30 countries and I am always up for an adventure. If you are thinking of eloping and want some ideas please let me know! I have a bucket list and spots that I am familiar with. I try to keep things as simple as possible as far as travel fees go. Let’s chat!
How many photos do I get?
I deliver 50-100 high resolution edited photos for every hour I am shooting. So if you hire me for 8 hours of coverage you will receive 400-800 photos. It is a large spectrum but with every wedding being different - if there are only 25 guest you probably don’t want or need 70 photos of Aunt Cindy dancing :) I usually end up delivering around 600 - 700 photos for an 8 hour wedding.
When do I get my photos?
Photos are delivered via a website with unlimited downloads 7-8 weeks after the wedding. I also send a pretty big sneak peak of some favorites the week after the wedding. This will hold you over and give you some options if you want to send out “thank yous” or post on Instagram.
Is there a deposit?
Upon booking and signing of the contract, 25% of the 50% non-refundable retainer is due to confirm the wedding date. And the other 25% is due 90 days later. The retainer goes toward the entire wedding balance. The remaining balance is due 21 days before the wedding. In the event of the clients cancelling the wedding for any reason the booking fee is non-refundable. If the wedding date is moved within 6 months and I am available the retainer will be applied to the new date. Lots of COVID clauses! Let’s work together.
Do you help with the timeline?
Yes please!! The first thing I do when considering a timeline and how many hours you might need is look up the exact time the sun is setting that day. If it’s November it could be 4:30pm if its June it could be 8:30pm - this will help us decided when to do the couples portion of the day, taking into consideration a first look and family photos. Family photos usually take around 25-30 minutes. Bridal party about 20 minutes. And I recommend allowing a total of about one hour for couples photos. This could be a 30 min first look and then 30 minutes at “golden hour.” For some couples they really want to join cocktail hour - so this is something to consider as well! This is your day - but I do believe part of my job is to make sure you get the photos YOU want! And with the best lighting.
Do you deliver RAW unedited photos?
No. A big part of why you are hiring me is because of my editing style. I consider my photos artwork - and I wouldn’t put out an unfinished piece of artwork. I carefully cull through every photo taken and make sure I don’t leave out anything important! Most of the photos that don’t make it are either unflattering, not in focus, or a double of another photo.
What if we have to cancel a wedding/elopement/session?
If you have already put down a retainer for a date the retainer is non-refundable if a session or wedding is altogether canceled. If you reschedule a wedding or elopement before three weeks of the date we can do out best to reschedule the session to a time when everyone is available and any payment made can be put towards the new date (within 1 year). If you cancel an engagement or adventure session within 5 days of the session the deposit is non-refundable and a new deposit must be made for a new date.
Do you help with location scouting?
Absolutely! Many couples I shoot are not from Colorado - they have ideas of what they want but haven’t scouted for that perfect spot to elope or do an engagement session. We can talk about your vision and I can throw out a ton of ideas with galleries to share. Or we can pick a new spot none of us have been to. I consider weather and the time of year. Permits and how crowded somewhere might be. Time of day and the day of the week.
Do you do Video?
Unfortunately, I only offer photography! But there are a lot amazing videographers that I have worked with. Ask for my vendor list and I will send it over!
