Salem Oregon Wedding | Leah + Aaron
Love at First Shove
After weeks of playing hard to get, Leah met Aaron for a coffee date at Gov Cup, in Salem, OR. The two found themselves excitedly laughing and chatting, being fully and honestly themselves. Leah even shoving Aaron across the table and almost out of his seat at one point in the evening (all in good fun). She couldn't help but sense she was in the right place, at the right time, and with the right person. After their first date, Aaron kept asking Leah out, time and time again.
Down on one knee, with a ring and a grin that won Leah over, Aaron proposed. The couple were on a hike and had stopped at a beautiful spot to take some photos. Leah said YES and ran around in circles announcing their engagement.
Silver Falls State Park
The night before the ceremony, a few of us went with the couple to a mini waterfall session at Silver Falls State Park. My normal terrain of dry Colorado was a stark contrast to the luscious ferns and towering trees of Oregon. The dense forest backdrop coupled with the waterfall, made for a dreamy session. The couple's lighthearted but immense love for one another really shone through.
Wedding Day
Ceremony
Leah and Aaron were full of smiles and cheer on the morning of their wedding. The two even busted a few dance moves at the alter of their backyard ceremony. Family and friends looked on as they took a few moments to share their private vows off to the side.
Portraits
I followed Leah and Aaron into a field of white flowers for their portraits. The ecstatic newlyweds danced (some more!) and loved on one another.
Reception
With the marriage certificate signed, it was time for the reception. An entire table full of sweets and an old bike with a basket full of lavender sprigs caught my eye. At the conclusion of a few speeches, Leah and Aaron moved to the dance floor. Have I mentioned that the two are very good dancers? Their first dance was ballroom choreographed!
Leah and Aaron were nothing short of charismatic. Their friends and family danced alongside them for the remainder of the evening, basking in their loving glow. The coupleβs evening exit included a rice toss before they drove off in their pick-up truck.
