Styled Shoot | Minimalist Boho Bride
Styled Shoot for the Minimalist Boho Bride
Just because you’re on a budget doesn’t mean your wedding day can’t exceed your wildest dreams. Sometimes, going minimalist leaves room to highlight what’s most important – your love.
This gorgeous, naturally-styled shoot put together by a team at Wedfully features a unique take on elopements. The crew headed over to Keystone Ranch – a gem of a location – to set up.
The couple looked amazing wearing a style that is true to them. The bride wore the cutest boho ivory jumper, while the groom kept it simple with a coordinating ivory Henley shirt and jeans. They made it distinctly bridal by adding a delicate floral crown and loosely-tied bouquet resembling freshly-picked wildflowers.
But what the craziest part is that this “couple” actually JUST MET! Yup, they were strangers until meeting for this shoot. And although the natural landscape and perfect lighting helps get great images (the glow of a setting sun behind the mountains, valleys covered in wild grasses, striking cliffs that seem to overlook the whole world) as a wedding photographer - my main focus is capturing the love and chemistry between the COUPLE.
So how do you direct a couple that just met? This brought on a whole new challenge for me! As I can’t just depend on the natural chemistry between lovers who have known each other for years and know exactly how to make the other one smile and laugh. Instead of the goofy, fond laughter I usually get from a couple - it was actually a nervous, fun - almost first date type laughter. WHICH I AM HERE FOR! I’m not saying these two ended up dating and are now planning their ACTUAL wedding (how cool would that be though).
But I have to admit, these two had phenomenal chemistry and looked great together. Kindred spirits maybe?
It is always so much fun to challenge myself creatively while collaborating with other vendors to provide some inspiration for more non-traditional couples. This breath of fresh air came in perfect timing. Enjoy!
