Mentoring Sessions!

You guys! When I first started out I was taking online classes through Creative Live and any free outlet I could find. I went to a meet up about the basics of photography. I was eager to learn but I was also a little too prideful to admit some things. A big one was that I really wasn’t confident in my settings. If a photo was over exposed - I would just change SOMETHING until it looked better. I didn’t fully understand aperture or how far to lower your shutter speed. Looking back at some photos I took - outside in daylight at ISO of 1000!

I went to a workshop and the guy would call out the settings he was using and I couldn’t comprehend. There is no shame in learning at the pace that is comfortable to you. These are things you need to learn before you start charging people!

One on one mentoring is a safe place where you can ask ANYTHING! We will communicate through a couple emails while you come up with your top 8-10 questions. Here is an example of some questions:

  • Where should I invest my money first and how much should I invest?

  • What lenses do I need to start out?

  • Do I need a website right away? How do I start a website?

  • What are some online learning platforms that are free or affordable?

  • How do I book the ideal client?

  • How to I get more engagement on Instagram?

  • How much should I charge for things?

  • How to pose couples, maternity, families?

After you send over some questions we will set up a time to skype! The session will last one hour and we can virtually have coffee together while organically going over your questions. There is always an option to book additional sessions if you would like to keep meeting up!
