Rob + Jenn
When you think of a quintessential Colorado fall wedding, Jenn and Rob’s magical day at La Joya Dulce in Steamboat Springs instantly comes to mind. Late September showed off its finest, with golden aspens lighting up the mountains like nature’s version of confetti. Honestly, if you could bottle up the perfect fall day, it would look just like this.
Jenn’s bridal look was next-level stunning. Her gown from Lovely Bride fit her like a glove, and her Rue De Seine veil added just the right touch of boho chic. Her hair, styled by Turning Head Salon, was effortlessly romantic, and Caroline Lalive Beauty worked her magic to give Jenn that perfect, glowing look. Let’s just say, if there were an Olympic event for bridal style, Jenn would’ve taken home the gold.
Before the ceremony, when the anticipation was high - Jenn and Rob shared a private first look. You could almost hear the sigh of relief and the laughter as they got to share a quick moment alone. We were able to get some wedding party photos in at this time as well - allowing the couple to partake in more of the cocktail hour after the ceremony.
La Joya Dulce is a gem of a venue tucked into the heart of the mountains, and it delivered the kind of dreamy vibes that Pinterest boards are made of. Jenn’s entrance was nothing short of iconic — she and her dad rolled up to the ceremony in a vintage Jaguar. The car’s classic charm perfectly matched the day’s rustic-meets-elegant vibe.
The venue provides a perfect setting for a casual cocktail hour where people can pet horses, grab a drink at multiple bars, and play lawn games. Speaking of vibes, can we talk about the marigolds? These golden blooms popped up in the bouquets, the centerpieces, and even sprinkled along the ceremony aisle, bringing this warm, vibrant energy that screamed "fall, but make it fabulous." Shoutout to Alyssa Marie Floral for nailing the floral game — she really understood the assignment.
As the day turned to evening, the light went full-on golden hour perfection. As a photographer, I am always hoping we will get that perfect glow - and we definitely did! It was like Mother Nature decided to join the wedding party and brought her A-game. We snuck away for some couple’s portraits during this time, and let me tell you, these photos are pure magic. Jenn and Rob looked like they walked straight out of a magazine. Pro tip: If you’re planning a mountain wedding, schedule some time for sunset portraits. Trust me, you’ll thank me later.
The reception was where things got delightfully lively. Catering By Design brought their culinary A-game, serving up dishes so good people were going back for seconds. The night was filled with heartfelt toasts, infectious laughter, and dance moves that ranged from “professional-level” to “uncle-who-thinks-he-still-has-it.” Spoiler alert: He didn’t, but he gave it his all.
Jenn and Rob’s wedding wasn’t just a celebration — it was a whole vibe. And it was an honor to be the ones to capture it! If you’re dreaming of a fall wedding in Colorado, let this day be your inspiration/sign and let’s chat!
